Jessica Sierra always dreamed of being a star. Armed with fierce determination, a spitfire personality and an undeniable voice, she set out to make this dream a reality. At the mere age of 17, Sierra was featured as a finalist on the CBS telecast Star Search; however, Jessica Sierra is best known for her Top Ten finish on the television phenomenon American Idol where she wowed audiences with her Season 4 performances. Drawing consistent praise from the judges, Jessica Sierra was labeled as one of the best singers in the competition.
As an Idol finalist, Sierra toured nationally with fellow contestants, including appearances at the Coca-Cola 600, an extensive Simon Mall concert tour, and the 44 city, sold out American Idol arena tour. The American Idol Showstoppers album features her single "Total Eclipse of the Heart" and has been certified Gold by the RIAA. Her most recent musical endeavor is the single "Unbroken," now available for digital download, and released by Sony/BMG on a compilation CD titled Four Star Hits. Nick Brophy, whose credits include The Rolling Stones, Avril Lavigne, Hootie and the Blowfish, and Phil Vassar, produced and co-wrote the song. Sierra's album is slated to be released in early 2008.
Sierra has recently been featured on national broadcasts of Entertainment Tonight, Inside Edition, Extra, E! News and as a regular panelist on MSNBC Scarborough Country for its American Idol segments.
